BC Conservatives to "end SOGI 123" if elected

The BC Conservatives are currently the third largest party in the BC Legislature, with 4 seats, all of whom defected from the BC United Party (formerly the BC Liberal Party). The leader is John Rustad, currently the MLA for Nechako Lakes. The other three Conservative Party MLAs are: Bruce Banman, MLA (Abbotsford South), Lorne Doerkson, MLA (Cariboo-Chilcotin), and Elenore Sturko, MLA (Surrey South). 

On September 20, 2023, the day of major parental rights and anti-parental rights rallies across BC, John Rustad, on behalf of the BC Conservatives, issued the following “Statement on Parental Rights": 

Stop Woke applauds John Rustad and the BC Conservatives for this position on ending the woke SOGI 123 program. Yet, what does John Rustad mean when he promises “First, I will end SOGI 123”? We don’t exactly know. But Rustad’s statement of September 20, 2023 is still a great start. It should be noted, however, that this statement does not represent a full and complete position as to how a BC Conservative would approach the issue of sex education in publicly funded BC schools.  It also remains unclear as to what BC teachers would be allowed to teach regarding, for example, gender identity and gender appreciation, once the resource SOGI 123 had “ended.”

Rustad further states that the “SOGI 123 program is a failure; it has become a distraction and it is divisive.” This is accurate as far as it goes, but more details are required.
